Archive: Kris Rush

Kris hails from a small business family. Dad and Mom raised a big family on a small turkey ranch in Fresno, California where lots of love, hard work and long days were a way of life. This early passion for small business led to life of work in their behalf. Right out of college Kris launched a local chamber of commerce and economic development career in Madera and Visalia CA. As the Visalia Chamber grew to be the largest chamber per capita in America, she began marketing consulting for the London Chamber in England. Kris later ran the 38,000-member American Rose Society and their 118-acre rose garden in Shreveport, Louisiana, before joining the US Chamber of Commerce as Regional Director for the Southwest and South Central states. After marrying Dick Rush and moving to Oklahoma, Kris guided creation of the Oklahoma State Chamber’s Prosperity Project – a nonpartisan web-based election service to help state candidates share where they stand on issues impacting jobs and the economy – and help citizens go to the polls informed. Her award-winning advocacy, marketing communications and political education campaigns bring a wealth of grassroots expertise to Rush Strategies, where she runs conference logistics for the Council of State Chambers. Kris’ love for small business ingenuity and resilience – and frustration with the negative way national media often covers business stories – led her and Dick to launch JustGoodNews.BIZ – America’s GOOD economic news service – in June, 2012.
