“Baby Driver” plans to film in Atlanta, recruiting for crew now

ATLANTA — Producers are currently hiring crew to work on “Baby Driver,” a crime drama set to film in the Atlanta area.

“Baby Driver” concerns a young, talented getaway driver who is coerced into working for a crime boss. Starring roles feature Lily James, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey. Edgar Wright is writing and directing.

Foxx most recently filmed “Sleepless Night” in Atlanta. The story about a police officer searching for his kidnapped son in a nightclub is based on a French film release in 2011, “Nuit Blanche.”

Hamm won an Emmy in September for work on the AMC hit series “Mad Men.” He recently completed filming in the Atlanta area for  “Keeping Up With the Joneses.”
