Automation Personnel needs 120 laborers

GRIFFIN, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Automation Personnel Services recruit about 120 general production laborers to work in Butts County.

The recruitment will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the GDOL’s Griffin Career Center located at 1514 Highway 16 West in Griffin.

Automation Personnel Services specializes in providing light industrial employees to a variety of customers. In fact, 94 percent of the company’s staffing is light industrial. Employees of Automation Personnel Services fill needs in plastics manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, warehousing, assembly and production lines for various products, distribution centers, and other labor-intensive manpower needs.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. While no previous experience or education is required, a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) and previous production experience in a refrigerated environment is preferred.

Salaries range from $8.30 to $8.55 an hour. The company will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests.
