Ag-Pro plans new HQ, 50 jobs in Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Ag-Pro Companies will construct a new headquarters facility in Thomasville, investing more than $7 million and creating 50 jobs. Ag-Pro is a retailer of John Deere tractors with farm machinery repair capabilities.

“Ag-Pro is excited to locate our corporate headquarters in Thomas County where our roots trace back to 1958,” said James Groover, CEO of Ag-Pro. “The centralization of our key business functions will position Ag-Pro well for future growth while providing many new jobs to the local community.”

Ag-Pro has 35 locations in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Texas, making it one of the largest John Deere dealerships in the world. The company has more than $650 million in annual sales and employs more than 700 people.

“Ag Pro has a long standing presence in Boston and Thomas County,” said Shelley Zorn, executive director of the Thomasville Payroll Development Authority. “We are grateful they are continuing to grow their presence with this state-of-the-art headquarters facility. Ag-Pro acquired 11 John Deere dealerships in Southern Texas in July with the purchase of South Texas Implement and Tractor City dealerships.
