United Arab Shipping Company moving US headquarters to Gwinnett County
United Arab Shipping Company is moving its North American headquarters to Gwinnett County. The global logistics company plans to invest double-digit millions in opening a new 50,000-square-foot facility, which will house shipping logistics, accounting, finance and customer service activities, as well as executive management for the company’s North American operations. The move will bring United Arab Shipping Company closer to its operations at the Port of Savannah and create 160 local jobs.
United Arab Shipping Company cited the region’s skilled workforce, high quality of living and excellent airline network as motivating it to establish its North American headquarters in the region.
United Arab Shipping Company was formed jointly between the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Republic of Iraq, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for the purpose of connecting the Middle East to the rest of the world. Today, UASC is one of the most prominent carriers in terms of liner cargo, as well as port coverage.
