The sky’s the limit
Yachiyo of America Inc. recently announced it will open a manufacturing plant in Carrollton. The 130,000-square-foot facility will bring more than 200 jobs, representing a $30 million investment.
Based in Saitama, Japan, Yachiyo was established in 1953, and has built a reputation as a Tier 1 parts supplier to the global automotive industry.
The company employs 6,800 associates worldwide, and currently has five manufacturing operations in North America.
The facility is an expansion of the company’s current North American plastic fuel tank and sunroof capacity.
Yachiyo will use Georgia’s renowned Quick Start program, the nation’s top-ranked customized workforce training program, in conjunction with West Georgia Technical College to train its associates.
